With over 269 Camano 31’ trawlers cruising the waters of the world,
she has proven to be one of the most enjoyable and comfortable
trawlers ever launched.
Most Camanos are purchased by knowledgeable cruisers who are looking
for a comfortable, easy-to-handle and easy-to-maintain boat. In
addition, the Camano 31’ also provides surprising economy and
remarkable seaworthiness when caught in rough conditions.
With a single 220 HP diesel (Yanmar® BY Series) or the new
225 hp Volvo®
D-4, the Camano 31’ will cruise economically at between 5 and 17
knots. At 7 knots she burns less than 1.5 gph and at 14 knots about
5 gph. With a fuel capacity of 133 gallons (120 gallons with
reserve) at 7 knots, you have a range of almost 560 miles. At 14
knots the range is still over 330 miles..not bad for a trawler that
gives you this level of stability and comfort.
The interior of the Camano 31’ has been refined over the years to
maximize utilization of every inch of space. Because the boat was
designed for cruising, great attention has been paid to the items
that are most important to safe comfortable cruising, like storage
and installation of equipment for ease-of-maintenance. The interior
volume, openness of the salon and spacious flybridge make her a
totally unique boat.

of this site, it is important to note the combination of stability
and comfortable ride that this design provides in ALL sea
conditions. I have personally had the Camano out in everything from
8’ to 10’ breaking seas at our St. Lucie Inlet to glassy days on the
ICW and everything in-between and I have been consistently amazed at
her stability and sea-keeping ability.
